Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic
services we offer at CHIROPRACTIC SPA.
Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustment, also called spinal manipulation, is a procedure done by a chiropractor using the hands or small instruments to apply controlled force to a spinal joint. The goal is to improve spinal motion and physical joint function of the entire body including extremities which happens when the bones are properly aligned together.
Chiropractic examinations are used to establish the condition and functionality of your spine, full body and nervous system. There are different chiropractic techniques, and Dr. Missy will assess which is most suited for you.
*Whole Body Adjustments
*Extremity Adjustments
*Traction/Decompression
Massage Therapy
We have a massage therapist on staff to work in our office because we often find it necessary to have massage therapy performed in addition to adjustments in order for the body to heal in the fastest amount of time possible. Muscles control all joints therefore muscles have to function freely for joints to work properly.
*Therapeutic Deep Tissue
*Relaxing Massage upon request
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a technique that uses acupuncture needles to help soft tissue restrictions and scare tissue in muscles and joints. It is recommended as a therapy in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments for stubborn, severe or long term pain. When the two are done in tandem, many patients feel relief faster and experience increased mobility.
Matrix
The Matrix is the strongest PT equipment on the market in todays society because it combines a few different modalities at the same time making the effect stronger. It utilizes electrical stimulation to create cellular endorphins which promotes healing of all tissues, cupping to improve blood flow decreasing inflammation and PNF (proprioceptive neurological facilitation) which stops pain signals from reaching the brain.
Corrective Exercises/Stretches
Our objective is to prescribe exercise and stretching/mobilization routines with precision. Instructions and demonstration are given for your specific success. Both stretches and strengthening are provided to all of our patients.
Dr. Missy specifically teaches her patients how to PT themselves at home which she repetitively checks in office visits. She has a strict rule that should you not PT yourself at home, she will require you to do your PT within the office.
The body is a functional machine that when not used properly breaks down and creates pain.
It is Dr. Missy's passion to teach patients how to properly use their bodies preventing further injuries and giving better quality of life activities.
Whole Body Vibration Therapy
Whole body vibration is a form of treatment that has been shown to have an important role in increasing neuromuscular performance, improving muscular strength, balance, gait, mechanics, and quality of performance. The technique involves standing and holding positions, or performing prescribed exercises on a platform that is vibrating at a programmed frequency. Just a few of the benefits researchers have reported include:
**Increasing balance
**Developing stronger bones
**Improving circulation
**Decreasing toxins
**Healthier-looking skin
Cupping
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative Chinese medicine in which a local suction is created methodically on the skin, Cupping is used to relieve deep underlying conditions created by decreased blood flow, inflammation, and lymphatic issues that cause pain. Cupping may ease symptoms such as:
**Arthritis
**Back and/or Neck pain
**Knee pain
**Shoulder pain
**Carpal tunnel syndrome
**Headaches and migraines
